Nature has always been a muse. For writers, for artists, and most importantly, for game developers.
From the autumnal leaves of Stardew Valley to the vast prairies and snowy mountains of North America in Red Dead Redemption, nature serves not only as a backdrop, but actively shapes the gameplay and storytelling in a way that inspires and connects in this digital age.
This Earth Day, Cool Earth is partnering with Earth Appreciation Festival.
From April 1st to April 8th, we’re joining forces with game developers around the globe that produce games with a nature or eco-dystopian theme.
Earth Appreciation Festival will feature a front page Steam sale, casting light on games that inspire awe through presenting nature at its best, or through games that show us the mess of a world we could find ourselves in if we don’t take action now.
So, if you’re a cosy streamer, nature lover, or just someone looking to do some good for our planet, find out how you can participate in this year’s Earth Appreciation Festival below.
